Hello, I'm Alex and I live in Sydney (Australia). I work in health care and developed an interest for web development and Java programming in 2011. Occasionally I also develop websites for clients manually by hand and this can be quite challenging yet fulfilling when everything works.

Most online applications are either based off JavaScript, Flash or the dynamic server language called Java Server Pages. I chose to focus on Applet programming and put together a web project to enhance my development skills. Applets are considered out of fashion, however, they are powerful structures that can be signed by a developer. Once signed, they can run without security restrictions inherent to JavaScript.
